Membership in Beta Alpha Psi
Pledging

Who can pledge?
To become a member of Beta Alpha Psi, you must first pledge and then be initiated.

• Undergrauate Accounting Majors who meet the following requirements:
  • Completed 30 undergraduate hours
  • GPA of at least 3.0 overall
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on all accounting courses taken
  
  
• Master's Students with an Accounting Concentration who meet the following requirements:
  
  • Graduate GPA of 3.0 on any completed graduate courses
  • Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 overall or 3.0 on last 30 hours
  • GPA of at least 3.0 on all accounting courses taken

Responsibilities of Pledges?

• Complete an application for pledge membership (both sides).
• Pledges pay dues of $20 each semester
• Pledges attend meetings and participate in service activities and must earn 32 hours in an academic year (16 in a single semester); see membership requirements for more detail.

When do pledges become full members?
A pledge will be initiated if the following requirements are met:

• Overall GPA for current degree is at least 3.0
• Completed at least one upper-division accounting course
• GPA is at least 3.0 on all accounting courses
• Earned 32 hours per membership requirements during initiation semester
• Pay a $55 national initiation fee
