    • Join a professional organization like the IIA and go to their monthly meetings.

Should I try to earn extra hours?
Absolutely!

  • Two awards will be given each semester:
    • The member who meets minimum requirements and earns the most hours will receive the Outstanding Active Member Award,
which includes a plaque and a voucher to waive dues the following semester.
    • The pledge who meets minimum requirements and earns the most hours will receive the Outstanding Pledge Member Award,
which includes a plaque and a voucher to waive dues the following semester.

What if I don’t earn enough hours?
  • Pledges who do not earn enough hours cannot be initiated.
  • Active members who do not earn enough hours in two consecutive semesters will be placed on inactive status for the remainder of their academic time at UCA.
  • Active members who beleive that they will not be able to meet the requirements for a given semester may place themselves on the inactive list.
  • Inactive members do not pay dues and cannot attend BAY events.
